Yin Yoga Advanced Training on Retreat:
Retreat is a form of ‘Yielding’ – an invitation for going deep inside and an opportunity to really immerse into the practice, the philosophies and the theories.
The Yogic path is a gradual process. This Yin Yoga teacher training emphasises on the deep mindfulness of the Yin yoga practice – with a focus on the anatomical as well as energetic systems of the body – Chakras and Meridians. We will practice the more energetic, beautiful Yang-flows and various meditations techniques. Yogic and Buddhist Philosophies, loving-kindness (Metta -practices) and Yoga Nidra.
To be removed from the distractions from the outside world, our to-do-lists and our daily activities help us to immerse deeper into the practices. Away from our work and family responsibilities we can throw ourselves deep into the studies.
Taking the time out for ourselves and practicing Svadhyaya or self-study, gives us the opportunity to align with ourselves and to connect to the forever flowing abundance of the Universe. From this higher vibrational level, we can truly give from our hearts and inspire our students.
Most of all, being on retreat together with other like minded students, gives us the opportunity to truly connect and develop life long friendships. As Rumi said: “Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames.” Kalyāṇa-mittatā (Pali; Skt.: -mitratā) is a Buddhist concept of “spiritual friendship”. One involved in such a relationship is known as a “good friend”, “virtuous friend”, “noble friend” or “admirable friend”.
“It is essential sometimes to go into retreat, to stop everything that you have been doing, to stop your experiences completely and look at them anew, not keep on repeating them like machines. You would then let fresh air into your mind. Wouldn’t you?” — Krishnamurti
